Norwegian CInema Tours Latin America

Norwegian culture minister Trond Giske opened December 6 a programme section of Norwegian films, which will screen during the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema in Havana, Cuba, between 4-14 December

The Bothersome Man | Jens Lien

The Norwegian selection including The Bothersome Man (Den brysomme mannen), Sons (Sønner), Hawaii Oslo, Uno, Next Door (Naboer), Kitchen Stories (Salmer fra kjøkkenet), Kissed by Winter (Vinterkyss) and the documentary, Ole Bull (Ole Bull Himmelstormeren), will show at the newly-restored Cine Riviera. Norwegian aid has contributed to the renovation of the cinema's technical equipment.

After Havana the package of films (with Spanish subtitles) will continue on a Latin American tour, where they will unspool at festivals and cinemathequès. The project is organised by the Norwegian Film Institute, and financed by the Norwegian Foreign Ministry.
