 KARLSSON ON THE ROOF

ANIMATION   FAMILY FILM   88 MIN   COLOUR   SCOPE   DOLBY DIGITAL

(Karlsson på taket)
Karlsson on the Roof is, next to Pippi Longstocking, Astrid Lindgren's most popular character. The story takes place in Stockholm where PeeWee, a lonely 7-year old, lives with his family. His brother and sister are teenagers with lives of their own, and PeeWee feels he has nobody to play with. But one day - litteraly out of the blue - a chubby little man appears in his room. He introduces himself as the world's greatest Karlsson! He claims to live on the roof and most amazing of all, Karlsson has a propeller on his back and can actually fly.
Karlsson is soon written off as a figment of PeeWee's imagination because he has a habit of disappearing whenever PeeWee wants to show him off to his family. But to PeeWee, Karlsson is very much alive. And despite Karlsson's self-centered behaviour and unlimited faith in his own abilities, he brings excitement into PeeWee's world.
