The Almost Man (Mer eller mindre mann)

Henrik (35) is used to high-school buddies that party like they where still in their twenties. His mother cares for him like hes still a child. And he is in a relationship thats based on goofing around. Now, Tone is pregnant and Henrik has to take a serious job, move into a conform duplex, calm down the partying, and start behaving like a father to be. Like an adult.

The Almost Man is a humorous drama that explores the feeling of moving on in life and how you can loose yourself in trying to please the expectations of the surroundings.

Director

Martin Lund

Martin Lund (b. 1979) was educated as an art director at Westerdals School of Communication before he was accepted to the directing- programme at the Norwegian Film School at Lillehammer, graduating in 2009 with the short film Baloon Moods. This was, however, not his first film as a director: Home Game from 2004 was screened at numerous national and international film festivals, including Clermont-Ferrand and Sundance Film Festival in 2005, and received several awards. He also directed the shorts Shall we dance? in 2007, and Pistachio in 2009.

Lund is also a seasoned director of commercials and has also won numerous awards for his work in this field. For a period of time he was also employed by Kitchen, Norwegian affiliate of American advertising giant Leo Burnett. Lund made his debut as a feature film director in 2010 with Twigson ties the Knot, the second film in the Twigson-franchise, one of the biggest and most successful movie franchises in Norwegian cinema history.
