| Short summary |
Aleksander was adopted from Colombia to Norway as a little boy. Almost like a fairytale he manages to find his biological mother among 500 000 citizens in a Colombian city. Through Aleksander´s meeting with his mother Margarita we are given a view into the tragic story of a warm and special woman. She is the living proof that the social problems in Colombia makes people suffer. After Loosing all her closest relatives she is almost by herself when Aleksander suddenly shows up in her life again. He decide to move in with Margarita For a short period of time. It is a new beginning as mother and son. They establish a warm relationship even if they now living in different worlds and don’t speak the same language. After going back to Norway Aleksander keeps in touch with his mother.
But the everyday life in Colombia suddenly causes problems for both of them…. |

Director biography:
 Aleksander Dario Nilsen, born in 1980 in Colombia and adopted to Norway 10 months old. Nilsen has worked as a freelancer in film and television, and has made a couple of short films, TV programs and a musicvideo. He is educated at Westerdahls film & TV-school in Oslo.
Claus Morten Pedersen, born in 1974, educated as a Bachelor of arts from the University of Oslo with major in literature, The NKS school of film and TV-production i Oslo and the Norwegian School of Journalism in Oslo with television as his main subject. Pedersen has experience as a journalist from newspaper, radio and television. He is aslo a guest-teacher in digital filming and editing at the Norwegian School of Journalism.
