Feature film Christmas on Cobbler Street

Life is best when you can share it with the ones you love - especially at Christmas.

It is the first Christmas after the war and Stine (9) arrives alone on the train to Cobbler Street. She seeks shelter at Shoemaker Andersen's, who turns out to be an old and serious man, who just wants to be alone. However, the meeting between the two of them will change things forever. "Christmas on Cobbler Street " will be an entertaining and warm Christmas movie about how to overcome loneliness, and how to open ourselves up to those around us.

    Mikal Hovland graduated from The Norwegian Film School in 2012. In 2013, Mikal was nominated for the Young Director Award in Cannes for the advertising film Åstedet, and his latest short film Kartleseren (2017) participated in the short film program at the Tribeca Film Festival. He has directed 5 episodes of the TV series Helium for Fabelaktiv and NRK Super (2018). Seasons 2 and 3 of the online drama series Blank for NRK (2019), and 3 episodes of Fjols til Fjells for Discovery+ (2020). In the summer of 2021, he directed 2 seasons of Kongvika for Seefod and TVNorge, and premiered his first feature film 'Christmas on Cobbler Street' for Nordisk Film Production, nov. 2023.
