Jan Troell
Jan Troell (b. 1931) is a Swedish film director, cinematographer, writer. He is known for often filling all three of the above mentioned roles in making his films, which are often described as having a lyrical cinematography, in which nature is given special prominence.
He made his feature film debut with the drama Here's Your Life in 1966, and has since written, directed and shot several feature films, shorts and documentaries. Troell is often ranked with the likes of Bo Widerberg and Ingmar Bergman among swedish film directors.
