(Lille Axel)


Little Axel is the story of Axel Joachim Jensen, son of Axel Jensen and Marianne Ihlen. Axel was born in 1960 and grew up on the Greek island called Hydra. Leonard Cohen becomes Axel's stepfather in infancy. A happy childhood turns into difficult teens, and at the age of 19, Axel is admitted to Gaustad Psychiatric Hospital. The film is a journey through Axel's life, memories and fate.

    Fabien runs run Antipode Films with Bård Kjøge Rønning, directing their own films and producing films internationally. Fabien is French and Bård is Norwegian; Antipode operates out of Oslo, Norway.
