 A young Syrian refugee in Northern Norway gets a phone call from his mother and brother, they are fleeing through Europe and desperately needs his help.   

Walid is a young Syrian refugee who lives by himself at a refugee centre in Northern Norway. One day he gets a desperate call from his mother and brother. They are fleeing through Europe, hoping to reunite with Walid. But they are stuck near the Hungarian border with smugglers who are demanding more money. Surrounded by a beautiful landscape and with only a cell phone, he tries to help them. His presence and the great distance between them, gives a perspective on the current situation in Europe.

    Truls Krane Meby (b. 1986) is a Norway- and Berlin-based, award-winning queer filmmaker from Lofoten, in Arctic Norway, who works as a director, editor, and writer. He is an alumni of the Berlinale Talents (as director), doc.incubator (as editor) and is currently developing several feature film projects.
