    Farzad Samsami (b. 1980 in Tehran) established GorillaFilm in 2005; he has directed and produced numerous low budget short films, and music videos. His first short film, Foad (2013) was shown at several national and international festivals, among them Clermont Ferrand International Short Film Festival and the Palm Springs Shortsfest. At Palm Springs, Foad received the HP Bridging The Borders Award, presented by Cinema Without Borders. In 2017, Samsami received production grants for two new short films, My Father (2018) and Evil Eyes (2019).
