Documentary film Radiograph of a Family


Radiography of a Family takes the viewer on a personal journey into the social genetics of modern Iranian society. As central metaphor and narrative frame for the story, we discover the lifeline and photo albums of an Iranian family, to relive and reconstruct the aftermath of the revolution, decoded and emphasized, to depict a deep and compelling story of the intriguing puzzle that constitutes modern Iranian identity.

  • Firouzeh Khosrovani

    Born in Tehran, Firouzeh Khosrovani settled in Italy to pursue her artistic studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera. After graduating in 2002 she returned to Iran and acquired her Master’s degree in Journalism.   She made her debut as a filmmaker in 2004 with Life Train, a documentary on the ‘play’ therapy provided for the traumatized children of Bam in the aftermath of a devastating earthquake. Since she has directed several documentaries and won several prizes at international film festivals such as the Oxfam Justice Award at IDFA her previous film Fest of Duty (2014).
