One in six children today are living in war zones, in this film we meet three of them. The Future of Iraq is a poetic documentary about the future generation of Iraq facing their future while trying to cope with their war experiences.

    Thee Yezen Al-Obaide (b.1983)  is born in Iraq but came with his family to Norway as a refugee when he was a teenager. He is an activist working against Islamophobia and for queer rights. He has worked a lot with children and has nearly finished his education as a preschool teacher. The Future of Iraq is his first film.
