The Magic Time

This is a film inspired by the Sami culture, history, legends and fairy tales.
The film tells the story of a reindeer-calf and his journey to becoming a grown, white buck. A grown white buck can according to Sami culture represent a shaman.
The calf loses his mother which causes him to experience his culture and history. This is an adventure were stories from the past are shown in the movie's present, parallel to the calf growing up, physically and mentally. The calf continues the search for his mother, and a white buck accompanies him on this journey. In the end he finds his mother, which has had a new calf, whilst he has become a beautiful white buck, who now leads the herd.
