Vallona is an adventure film for children and adolescents aged 9-14 years with horror and supernatural elements, set in our time.

12-year-old Karl Dymling is ecstatic when he gets to be with his mother on a diving expedition at his mother's hometown Krabbsjögrund, where his grandfather lives. His mother's task is to find a very rare coral that can save the lake's habitat, and stop Dr. Ekwall from transforming the whole area into a huge industrial factory. But a storm looms ahead, and old ghosts keep popping up in people's memories. Many boats have floundered mysteriously and the most legendary of these is Vallona. Karl thinks he can see things and pulls his friend Sara along out in the storm to find Vallona and to rescue his mother, who is on board the dive boat.
