Atle Blakseth
Atle S. Blakseth (b. 1977) studied animation at Volda University College, and has worked as a designer, modeler, animator and director in the Norwegian film and animation industry since 2002. He has, amongst others, contributed to such films as Ploddy the Police Car (2002), Free Jimmy (2006), Elias and the Royal Yacht (both feature and TV series, 2007), Kurt Turns Evil (2008) and Trollhunter (2010), in addition to numerous commercials. Blakseth has also given lectures at the creative arts private college Idéfagskolen (2006), and at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (2007).
He made his debut as a director with the animated comedy short Fishing with Sam in in 2009. The film has been screened at over 45 international festivals, and has received several awards, including Best Short Film in the Elements+6 section at the Giffoni Film Festival in 2009.
