Ruben (11), Mia (6), and their mother live in a suburb outside Bergen, Norway. In hopelessness and everyday poverty, the desire for normalcy leads to a fateful shopping trip and a surprising theft.  

Ruben and Mia make decisions centered around a grocery list and a tight budget. A near and hurtful story about two siblings' relationship and struggles against everyday poverty in one of the wealthiest countries in the world.

    Alexander Ophaug (b. 1993) is a screenwriter and director renowned for his dedication to exploring personal narratives and bringing to light local stories that are often overlooked. He is actively involved in a variety of projects in both short and feature-length formats. 

    In  2022  he won a pitching competition that led to the production of the shortfilm 'Maybe Just For You.' 

    Ophaug, studied at  Lillehammer University College, and holds a  bachelor's degree in documentary directing. His portfolio is diverse, including short films, music videos, commercials, documentaries, reality TV, and content production for various commercial outlets.
