Nine Norwegian films, including five children’s and family films and one documentary, have received a total of NOK 2,973,643 in grants for international distribution. In total for 2025, NOK 6,806,010 has been allocated for international distribution to 19 Norwegian films through 67 international distributors.
The funding aims to strengthen the export of Norwegian films through increased international sales and distribution, generating higher revenues for the film’s producers. The scheme will also enhance Norwegian films’ audience reach and market position abroad.
In this application round, 34 international distributors have received funding to carry out their campaigns for Norwegian films in cinemas abroad. The round included everything from family films and documentaries to artistically ambitious productions.
The grant is awarded to the foreign distributor via the film’s Norwegian producer.

Fantefilm Fiksjon receives NOK 599,991 for distribution to eight distributors: Capelight in Germany (06.11.2025), Polyfilm in Austria (06.11.2025), Elite in Switzerland (13.11.2025), ADS in Hungary (18.12.2025), ADS/Cay in Romania (19.12.2025), Continental Film in Czech Republic (19.12.2025), Paradis Films in France (03.12.2025), and Continental Film in Slovakia (06.11.2025).
