Laurens Pérol
Laurens Pérol (b. 1995) is a German director, writer, and producer living and working in Northern Norway. Laurens holds a BA in Moving Images from Nordland College of Art and Film. He considers working with film as orchestration of different art forms, such as photography, literature, painting, soundscape, music, architecture, and more.
Laurens has worked for the production company Mer Film and collaborated as a director's assistant with directors such as Ole Giæver (La elva leve), Itonje S. Guttormsen (Butterfly), and more.
Laurens' works have been presented at several festivals, including International Film Festival Hof, Tromsø International Film Festival, and LISFF Wiz-Art. For his directing work, Laurens won the prize Skårungen 2022 (Newcomer 2022) and got an honorable mention at Minimalen 2021 for his current short Developing a Language. To Practice is his first feature film.
