In 1930, a group of Northern Sami were forcibly relocated to South Sami territory in Sweden by the Norwegian and Swedish states. Today, the South Sami are fighting the North Sami in court over exclusive rights to land, water, and reindeer herding. Through characters on each side of the conflict, the film explores the history and events that led to this controversy. The narrative shifts depending on who tells it, raising the question: Who has the rightful claim to the land?
