International promotion and financing events

You may apply for funding of collective launch events and financing initiatives held in international arenas.

Who may apply

  • Organizations (e.g. international festivals, sales markets, trade shows) responsible for arranging, coordinating and carrying out industry events and initiatives.

What you may apply for

  • You may apply for grants to cover costs related to activities held at international festivals, sales markets and trade shows or other trade relevant arenas.
  • Grants awarded under this scheme may not be used for initiatives connected to a single audiovisual work.

Terms and conditions for the grant

The launch- and financing initiatives must take place at a recognised, professional international arena.

The application for the grant must be submitted before work on the event or initiative starts.

Assessment of applications

Applications will be assessed and prioritized based on:

  • Whether the project has broad representation from the audiovisual industry and/or will contribute to the professionalisation, internationalisation, and improvement of the experience and skills of the Norwegian audiovisual industry.
  • To what degree the grant will contribute to the realisation and the quality of the activity in question.
  • The expected total effect of the activity and the applicant´s track record and documented experience, the budget and funding of the activity, and any partners connected to the project.
  • Whether the activity contributes to gender balance and diversity in the audiovisual industry.

Activities which contribute to policy focus areas set by the Ministry of Culture and the NFI may be prioritized.
