The 20-something rock star has faded into suburbia with kids and a mortgage. One day, at 42, the wife has had enough and Jørgen finds himself living in a friend's basement. A mission has been lost, a bald head and flabby belly gained and depression taking its toll.    

He is overwhelmed by the notion that there is something profoundly wrong with his head, fingers, guitar, and amplifier. To avoid the big black hole, he wants to solve these major issues and starts with the most tangible; reaching out to an enigmatic hermit guitar repairman whom others warn him about.   

An intriguing journey of healing unfolds, into the sound, exploring the depths of each tone, and ultimately liberating the soul.

     Torstein Grude (b. 1971) is a Norwegian writer, director, cinematographer and producer. He is a filmmaker devoted to the creation of documentary films with global reach and relevance. With a focus on truth-seeking, love, solidarity, decency, and peace, his projects tend to be both political and philosophical. The films often explore hybrid forms and unusual approaches to filmmaking that stimulate storytelling from rare viewpoints from marginalized or underrepresented peoples.
