The Final Chapter follows Frøydis, a survivor of neglect and violence during her upbringing. After taking legal action against her parents, she cut off all contact with them. However, when she receives a phone call informing her that her father is dying of cancer, it triggers a complex and painful emotional response. The film dives into Frøydis' struggle with loneliness during this difficult time, through conversations with her closest friends, told with an abstract and symbolic visual style. Frøydis is now faced with a difficult decision: should she reach out and contact him, or should she stay away to protect herself?
