Trine refuses to fly. As she only has a few days to reach a decisive audition 1500km south, the 18-year-old trumpet talent is forced to hitchhike under great time pressure, and her environmental idealism and musical passion are set against each other.

To Practice is a film that explores resistance in passion, a deeply intimate encounter with music and the practice of listening to oneself.
