A 16-year-old girl describes her all-consuming infatuation with her female teacher in a way that makes both her mother and grandmother want to publish her diary because it is so well written. At the same time, they are reminded of their longings, while the daughter loses ownership of the love. Sex Dreams Love A film trilogy that consists of three loosely connected stories that in different ways speak about the way we behave to achieve our inner longings. Moral fables and existential comedies about sexuality and queer sensibility are set in Oslo today.
The Ugly Stepsister is a daring and unexpected take on Cinderella’s world-famous tale, seen through the eyes of the ugly stepsister, combining comedy and horror by Emilie Blichfeldt. In a twisted take on the classic Cinderella story, ‘The Ugly Stepsister’ follows Elvira as she battles to compete with her insanely beautiful stepsister. In a fairy-tale kingdom where beauty is a brutal business, Elvira will go to any lengths to catch the prince’s eye. ‘The Ugly Stepsister’ is the gory tale of the blood and sweat, grit, and gold that goes into making Elvira the belle of the ball.
In 1973, Norwegian filmmaker and former actress Vibeke Løkkeberg attended the First International Women’s Film Seminar in Berlin, bringing a camera crew to document this pivotal event in the early feminist film movement. Unearthed nearly 50 years later, the forgotten footage reveals a treasure trove of authentic stories capturing the struggles, ambitions, and dreams of women entering a male-dominated industry. Transformed into a poetic feature film, Long Road to the Director’s Chair weaves these historical voices into a timeless narrative about resilience, creativity, and the ongoing fight for equality in the arts.
