Nini Bull Robsahm
Nini Bull Robsahm (b. 1981) was educated at NISS - Nordic Institute of Stage and Studio in Oslo, and worked primarily as an assistant director until she jumped in front of the camera, starring in Manhunt (2008).
In 2014 she debuted as a director with the thriller Amnesia to good reviews. It did well at festivals and won the audience award at the Black Bear Festival in Poland. It received huge interest for the remake rights in Europe and the USA. It was sold to fellow Norwegians, the Oscar-nominated Espen Sandberg and Joachim Rønning. The American version is expected to go into production shortly.
Nini Bull Robsahm has her own company, Canopy Film, and is one of the young talents who works with the extremely popular Scandinavian crime genre. She is one of few female directors to stand out in this genre in Scandinavia.
From 2012 to 2014, she had the famous Norwegian director Pål Sletaune as a mentor. In 2008, she debuted as a screenwriter with the film Manhunt, which was successful in cinemas as well as at international festivals.
In 2011, she co-directed the feature film You Said What?, which opened to good reviews at the film festival Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas.
