(The Apple Tree)

A charming animated series about Lisa, a six-year old girl who lives with her parents in a house with a garden. In the garden there is an apple tree. The six episodes tell about Lisa and the apple tree and shows how the tree develops through the year from early spring till Christmas. Based on the drawings and story of the directors six-year-old daughter.

    Knut Eide (b. 1948) started his career in film as an actor at the age of 15, playing the character Bodø in the very popular Stompa-films (1962, 1963 and 1965), but has since made his mark as a director of animated films and freelance animator. He's directed several animated shorts, as well as children's television programs for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation NRK. He is also a writer, having written many of the screenplays for his own films, as well as writing a regular column in the regional newspaper 'Avisa Nordland' for many years. He runs his own production company, Prosjektfilm, in his hometown of Bodø.
