NM i Gameplay 2019 + Nordic Game Discovery Contest

Lørdag 5. januar 2019 arrangerer Norsk filminstitutt uoffisielt NM i Gameplay.

Vinneren får et  utviklingstilskudd på 100.000 kroner til vinnerprosjektet eller et annet prosjekt. (For å hente ut premien må man ha et enkeltpersonsforetak eller annet selskap registrert i Foretaksregisteret).

De påmeldte teamene skal lage en spillbar prototype hvor gameplay skal forholde seg til årets tema. Spillene presenteres for jury og publikum på Filmens hus lørdag 5. Januar.

Årets tema annonseres på fb-siden til NM i Gameplay 1 januar kl 10.00.

Juryen vurderer orginalitet og gameplayets relevans til tema.

Det trenger altså ikke være et ferdig spill!

De tre-fem beste prosjektene går videre til en finale, og vinneren kåres av publikum og jury, og utropes under Spillprisen samme kveld.

Nordic Game Discovery Contest hits Oslo for second year in a row

The Nordic Game Discovery Contest will be back at NM I Gameplay in Oslo, Norway, to do a qualifier - this time in a new and enhanced format of the NGDC live pitch contest. The qualifier will take place on 5 January, as a part of NM in Gameplay 19, just as last year in "Filmens Hus" in central Oslo.

“I can't wait to check out new and upcoming games from Norway", says NGDC host and Nordic Game CCO Jacob Riis. “Last year, the NGDC was there for the first time, and we saw many games of really high quality. I can't wait to see this year's contestants battle it out on stage in our new contest format!"

“We are very happy to welcome NGDC back to Oslo as the last year's event was a big success!" adds NM I Gameplay organizer Nedin Mutic.

The qualifier in Oslo will be the 12th on the NGDC Season III tour plan. The selected game will win a seat in the NGDC Grand Finals next year at Nordic Game 2019, 22-24 May in Malmö, Sweden, as well as prizes from PR specialists Plan of Attack and Mail.ru.
